About AddressValid
Address Intelligence for Global Digital Economies
Over 30% of deliveries, checkouts, and KYC verifications in emerging urban markets are delayed or rejected because of ambiguous address inputs. Customers write directions like "opp the blue gate, off Admiralty" — and existing tools cannot parse them.
AddressValid is the infrastructure layer that makes these addresses machine-readable.
What We Do
We take unstructured complex address inputs — landmark references, informal directions, estate names, road aliases — and convert them into standardized, geocoded, enriched location data that logistics systems, fintech compliance flows, and e-commerce platforms can act on immediately.
Our engines combine PostGIS spatial matching, OpenSearch fuzzy indexing, and pgvector semantic understanding to resolve addresses that no conventional geocoder can handle.

- Autocomplete responds in under 150ms
- Full geocoder resolution in under 250ms
- Address deduplication accuracy above 98%
- API Gateway uptime SLA of 99.9%
How We Build
Engineering Principles
Landmark-Aware, Globally Scalable
We built for complex addressing realities — landmark directions, estate gates, informal routes — using a country-agnostic architecture that extends cleanly to any market.
API-First, Search-First
Every capability ships as a versioned REST endpoint. Autocomplete response targets are under 150ms, with typo-tolerance and relevancy ranking as first-class requirements.
Data as Infrastructure
AddressValid is not a static directory. Our spatial ETL pipelines, pgvector semantic indexes, and confidence scoring systems make the dataset sharper with every query.
Polyglot Persistence
PostGIS for spatial matching. OpenSearch for fuzzy text lookup. pgvector for natural language understanding. Redis for rate limiting. Each layer chosen for what it does best.
Infrastructure
Polyglot Technology Stack
Each persistence layer was selected for what it does best — not for convenience or convention.
PostgreSQL & PostGIS
Spatial indexing, nearest-neighbor routing, boundary polygon matching, and coordinate validation.
OpenSearch
Fuzzy autocomplete, typo-correction, relevancy ranking, and location search analytics.
pgvector
Semantic search via embeddings — resolves natural language directions, landmarks, and estate names into precise coordinates.
Redis
API rate limiting, distributed session management, request caching, and queue orchestration.
What AddressValid Is Not
Clarity about what we are not helps you understand exactly where we add value.
- ✕Not a Google Maps wrapper or third-party tile reseller.
- ✕Not a static CSV export — the platform indexes and enriches data in real-time.
- ✕Not built for Western addressing grids. We do not assume zip codes, uniform street numbering, or block layouts.
- ✕Not a data broker. We never sell query inputs, coordinates, or user records to advertisers or third parties.
