Terms of Service
1. Agreement to Terms
Welcome to AddressValid (referenced as "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing our website, platform dashboard, or invoking our geocoding, autocomplete, and physical KYC verification APIs (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree to all terms outlined in this agreement, you are prohibited from utilizing our APIs, dashboards, or developer tools.
2. API Usage & License
Subject to your compliance with these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access our APIs and developer tools solely to resolve and standardize address data for your applications.
Under this license, you agree NOT to:
- Bulk download, scrape, or build a competitive directory database using our geocoding results.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer our fuzzy matching search algorithms or location scoring engines.
- Exceed default rate limits or execute DDoS attacks on our API gateways.
- Share your organization keys or API secret credentials with unauthorized third parties.
3. Token Consumption & Billing
AddressValid operates on a token-based consumption model. Different API requests consume varying amounts of tokens:
- Autocomplete Lookups: 1 token / request
- Address Verification: 3 tokens / request
- Forward/Reverse Geocoding: 5 tokens / request
- Landmark Data & GIS Enrichment: 10 tokens / request
Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance. If your monthly usage exceeds the plan's quota, you are responsible for purchasing top-up blocks. Auto-charge topups will only fire if you have explicitly opted in and enabled them in your billing settings. Unused monthly subscription tokens do not roll over to subsequent months.
4. Data Accuracy & Disclaimers
Our geocoding engines resolve unstructured address strings, landmark directions, and estate maps to coordinates. While we continuously load, clean, and enrich our GIS dataset to maintain high confidence metrics, we do not guarantee 100% precision.
The Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. AddressValid is not liable for delayed deliveries, navigation errors, or losses resulting from inaccurate coordinates.
5. SLA & Availability
We target a 99.9% uptime availability for our production API gateways. Technical support schedules and credit structures for SLA violations are defined specifically in our Enterprise Service Level Agreement contracts.
6. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without giving effect to conflict of laws principles.
